Inventory Item Preparation.. Tags, Labels, etc.

Shop Supplies:  You'll need these to get started:

• Colored tags which we provided to you last year, along with the links for where you can order more.  If you've misplaced those, email us at skisundownswap@gmail.com and we will send you the Amazon and Uline links for your store.  

• Personalized peel off ticket labels that we will send you after we load your inventory and created barcoded labels.

• If you are bringing boots:

  • ​Matching  colored twine.   As with the colored tags, contact us if you have issues.

  • White rectangular stickers for placing sizes on back of boots

  • Yellow circle stickers for the back of women’s boots.  These help us put those boots in the right spot on the floor so customers can shop better

 

Skis:

• Secure skis together with masking tape and lock the ski brakes (if bindings are present),

• Securely attach a colored tag with the appropriate adhered label to the top (shovel) of the ski using only ONE strip of masking tape across the TOP of the colored tag and ONE across the bottom of the colored tag.

• Please do not cover any sticker printing and also please do not place any other strips of masking tape across the tag.

Snowboards

• Attach the colored tag with the appropriate adhered ticket label to the top of the snowboard by using one strip of masking tape to the top of the tag and one on the bottom of the tag.  Please do not cover any printing

Boots - (no boxes please)

1. Attach the colored tag with the appropriate ticket label to a secure area on the upper RIGHT boot buckle by use of a zip tie.

2. Using the colored twine provided, securely tie the boots together with approximately 26” of twine by attaching to the BOTTOM buckles of each boot so the customer will be able to walk easily in the boots.

3. Place a white rectangular sticker marked with the corresponding size on the RIGHT back side of each boot pair.

4. Place a yellow colored circle on the middle back of each woman’s boot to help differentiate it from men’s and children’s boots which will have no yellow stickers.

5. Please do not bring boot accessories (insoles, etc) unless they are securely attached to the boot with a zip tie.

Garments

• Attach the colored tag with the appropriate item label to the RIGHT side (right sleeve or RIGHT outside of waist) by using a clothing Dennison gun.

Helmets- (no boxes please)

• Attach the colored tag with the appropriate item label to the RIGHT side of the clasp with a zip tie.

 

Miscellaneous (ski bags, etc) -

• Attach the colored tag with the appropriate adhered ticket label to the item by using a zip tie in a secure place If there is no place to secure a zip tie, attach the label securely with masking tape.
