SUNDOWN SKI PATROL, Inc.

With over 100 active, dedicated, volunteer members, we provides services to Ski Sundown's snow sports public from 8am until 10pm every day of the ski season.   The Sundown Ski Patrol is a part of the National Ski Patrol System Inc, serving the Ski Sundown mountain.   We are a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization, incorporated as the Sundown Ski Patrol, Inc.

 

Our responsibilities include hill safety, skier/rider safety education, emergency care, and rescue.  We provide emergency medical and emergency transportation services on the hill, while promoting safety to skiers, snowboarders and their families.   Our mission is to serve the snow sports public without charge, in the rescue and first aid treatment of anyone injured, offering help and service in a courteous manner for Ski Sundown.

Since its formation in 1938 by Minnie Dole, a Connecticut native, the National Ski Patrol System, Inc. has evolved into one of the largest outdoor-winter rescue organizations in the world.  By way of a Federal Charter, reporting directly to Congress, it's more than 29,000 members serve over 600 ski patrols comprised of volunteer, paid, Alpine, Snowboard & Nordic patrollers throughout the United States.  The NSP membership has provided countless years of service and devotion to the skiing community.
